BOARDMAN – U.S. Route 224 westbound lanes are now reopened after a five-vehicle crash forced traffic to be diverted earlier this afternoon.

Traffic between Locust Street and Glenwood Avenue was being diverted after the 1:30 p.m. crash. Extent of injuries was not known, but one person was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, according to Boardman police Sgt. Paul Grimes. The investigation is continuing.
