AUSTINTOWN – Police are investigating the apparent shooting death of a man outside an Austintown apartment complex.

The man’s identity has not yet been released, but a resident at the complex said she has seen him there in the past. He was transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital where he died, according to an Austintown police Lieutenant.

The man was seen lying face-down outside a building at the Compass West apartment complex near Burkey Road.
