Mon. 8:45 a.m.: Child dead, four other people wounded at Struthers home

STRUTHERS – Struthers police and area law enforcement are searching for the man who walked into a Struthers home early today and shot and killed a 4-year-old boy and wounded four other people.

Struthers police Chief Tim Roddy said four people are in the hospital after the shooting just before 2 a.m. today at 111 Perry Street, which is located off Lowellville Road.

The suspect was described as being a light-skinned thin black man wearing a black jacket, Roddy said. Police are seeking cooperation from neighbors.

The names of the victims were not released, but reports say two male victims are in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, while two women were shot in the legs.
