New daily COVID-19 cases in Ohio exceed 9,000 Friday

Almost as many new COVID-19 cases were reported Friday in Ohio as during the entire month of July. The Ohio Department of Health reported 9,019 cases Friday, the first time the state exceeded 9,000 new cases since Jan. 8. During all of July, 9,390 total COVID-19 cases reported. In just eight weeks, the number of COVID-19 cases in Ohio experienced an increase of more than 21 times. All students in Poland schools now must wear facial masks

POLAND — All students in the Poland Local School District now are required to wear masks in the buildings. Virus surge continues in Ohio with nearly 7K cases

Following the Labor Day weekend, 6,823 new COVID-19 cases were reported statewide by the Ohio Department of Health. The total number of cases is now 1,268,841. Since last week, the state has posted an additional 40,839 cases. The death total remains 21,020. The ODH usually provides death information on Tuesdays and Fridays.
