RAILROAD HERITAGE ASSOCIATION: The Mahoning Valley Railroad Heritage Association Museum, 1340 Poland Ave., is sponsoring P&LE Day at its museum 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Two cabooses will be displayed at the museum as well as other items from the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad, which was nicknamed "The Little Giant" because of the tonnage of freight moved despite its small size. There will be tours of the museum and artifacts on display. Guests should use the gate by the railroad crossing. Suggested donation is $2 per person.

BEACH CRAFT SHOW: The Lake Milton Women's League is hosting "Arts and Crafts at the Beach" at Lake Milton State Park Beach, 2323 Grandview Road. The craft show runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and admission is free. There will be more than 100 crafters and food vendors, as well as a basket raffle. The women's league uses the profits from this event for their community outreach projects, such as college scholarships, supporting the local food bank and beautifying the community with seasonal decorations.

BE MY NEIGHBOR DAY: PBS Western Reserve invites families to celebrate community with Daniel Tiger at the annual Be My Neighbor Day 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the center concourse of the Eastwood Mall Complex in Niles. The event will include a resource fair featuring local parent organizations, activities, raffles and giveaways. Families will have the opportunity to meet local community helpers. Children will be able to dress up as local heroes, such as firefighters, mail carriers and construction workers. The event is free and designed to celebrate kindness with many community organizations participating, including the McKinley Memorial Library ,Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio. United Way of Trumbull County, Cub Scout Pack 401 of Warren and the Warren Trumbull County Public Library.
