CEMETERY TOUR: The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County joins the Oak Hill Volunteer Research Team for a walking tour honoring police and fire services personnel noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Led by members of the Oak Hill Volunteer Research Team, participants will be able to visit the resting places of local police officers and firefighters and hear stories about their lives, and the struggles and triumphs of public service.
Oakhill Cemetery historian Steffon Jones and the research team started out placing flags on the soldier's graves and replacing their headstones, then they started to create profiles on everyday people who were buried there so they would not be forgotten.
