OCCHA FOOD FEST: Organizacion Civic y Cultural Hispana Americana Inc. (OCCHA) will present its 14th annual International Latino Food Festival noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at OCCHA, 3660 Shirley Road, Youngstown. The featured cuisines will be Puerto Rican, Dominican, Mexican, Venezuelan and Latin American. Dinners are $15 each and include drinks and desserts. Entertainment will be provided by the Mahoning Valley Latin Orchestra. There also will be dancing, dominoes, raffles and family activities. Dinners will be dine-in or carryout. VETERANS POKER RUN: The AMVETS Post 44, 305 Elm St. in Struthers, is hosting its 10th annual Poker Run to benefit local veterans on Saturday. Registration will be 9:45 to 11:45 a.m., the colors will be presented at 11:45 a.m. and bikes will leave at noon. Tickets are $20 per bike (maximum of two people per bike) and $15 for nonriders. CLEANUP AT PARK: The Youngstown Skate Park Association is encouraging community members to volunteer at the Lincoln Park Skatepark cleanup 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the park, 301 Lincoln Park Drive in Youngstown. Volunteers will help remove litter, trim overgrowth and do light landscaping to clean the community built skatepark in preparation for the Pop Up Skate Park event on Aug. 22. Volunteers are encouraged to bring landscaping tools such as rakes, shovels, trimmers and wheelbarrows. The city of Youngstown and Mahoning County Green Team will provide a community beautification trailer with cleaning equipment for volunteers to use. ARTISAN/MAKER MARKET: A curated artisan/maker market will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown. All artisans and makers have been chosen based upon the quality and uniqueness of their signature pieces. MESSAGE IN BATH BOMB: Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St., will offer adults a class "Message in a Bath Bomb" at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Participants can write a favorite poem, affirmation, quote or scripture and put it in a bottle buried in a bath bomb to discover during a relaxing self-care session at home. Materials will be provided and registration is required by calling 330-545-2508.
MEDITERRANEAN POTLUCK: The Girard Multi-Generational Center on Trumbull Avenue will have a "Tour of the Mediterranean" potluck luncheon noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Those who are attending are asked to bring a Mediterranean inspired dish including Italian, Spanish or French.
