POLAND — American Legion Mahoning Valley Post 15 proudly installed its newly elected officers during a formal ceremony on June 2, 2026, at the Post Home, located at 35 Cortland St. in Poland.

The installation was conducted before members of The American Legion, Sons of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, family members and guests. During the ceremony, the incoming officers raised their right hands and solemnly accepted the responsibilities of leadership within Post 15.

The newly installed officers are:

• Greg Patrick — commander, United States Coast Guard

• Dave Long — vice commander, United States Army

• Mike Perillo — treasurer, United States Army

As commander, Greg Patrick will lead Post 15 in its continuing mission to serve veterans, support military families, strengthen patriotic programs and preserve the proud traditions of The American Legion. Dave Long, as vice commander, will assist with leadership, membership and operational support. Mike Perillo, as treasurer, will continue the important duty of maintaining financial stewardship and accountability for the Post.

The ceremony also emphasized the importance of continued coordination among The American Legion, the Sons of The American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary. This united effort strengthens the Post’s ability to serve veterans, sponsor patriotic community programs, support youth initiatives and maintain the Post Home as a gathering place for service, fellowship and remembrance.

“Our mission remains focused on service, remembrance and fellowship,” said Commander Greg Patrick. “Post 15 has a proud history, and our responsibility is to carry that legacy forward for the veterans and families who depend on organizations like ours.”

American Legion Mahoning Valley Post 15 welcomes eligible veterans, family members and community supporters to learn more about its programs, membership opportunities and ongoing facility improvement efforts.
