Reverse raffle on March 6 supports BSFEE

BOARDMAN — The Boardman Schools Fund For Educational Excellence will host its 11th annual reverse raffle on March 6 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center.

Twenty-seven grant recipients representing a dozen wish list projects will be honored as part of a night of fun and fundraising.

The reverse raffle is the main fundraiser for BSFEE, a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley. The event raises tens of thousands of dollars to help provide Boardman educator grants that have been creative and innovative additions to Boardman classrooms for more than a decade.

“We are so excited that through these fundraising efforts over the years, we’ve granted nearly $180,000 in classroom materials and equipment to give our Spartans experiences that go beyond what is provided by state and local funding,” said BSFEE Board President Heather Belgin.

“The reverse raffle has helped fund projects including virtual reality headsets, resistance bands, geometric resources, iPads, microbits and hydroponic kits, Legos, standing desks and equipment for building catapults.”

Doors open at 6 p.m. March 6. There will be many prize-winning activities as well as a series of cash prizes given away during the course of the evening.

The final ticket drawn at the end of the night will be worth $2,000.

Tickets are $70 and are available by contacting the superintendent’s office at 330-726-3404, emailing bdmnschoolsfund@gmail.com, or finding the invitation on BSFEE’s website at boardmanschoolsfund.com. The reservation deadline is Wednesday.

Starting at $3.23/week.
