BOOK SALE: Hubbard Public Library will have a book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the library’s meeting rooms.

Those attending can bring their own bags and fill them with all you can carry for $5 a bag on both days. Volunteers will help with carrying bags to vehicles.

TOWN HALL GATHERING: Youngstown 6th Ward Councilwoman Anita Davis will host a town hall gathering at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Newport Library community room, 3730 Market St., Youngstown, to engage in discussion with city leaders about positive things happening in the city. Scheduled to attend are Nikki Posterli, the mayor’s chief of staff; Ericka Avery, Youngstown housing administrator; and Mika Samoles with the Academy of Urban Studies.
