• CORTLAND — Bridge dedication at 2 p.m. on the East Main Street bridge, adjacent to El Terero Restaurant. Bridge is being renamed the Vietnam Memorial Bridge in honor of two Lakeview High School graduates killed in Vietnam.
• GIRARD — Girard Veterans Council service with parade at 10:30 a.m. from Boardman Medical Supply parking lot south on Market Street to Liberty Street then west to the Officer Justin Leo Memorial Bridge. Wreath will be cast into the river. Parade then march east to Market Street and north to High Street to the war memorial. Girard Mayor Jim Melfi will be the speaker.
• NILES — Niles American Legion Post 106 will host a service at 11 a.m. at Niles City Cemetery.
• STRUTHERS — Struthers city schools will recognize veterans at 11 a.m. at the veterans memorial, corner of Morrison Street and Euclid Avenue. Guest is Chief Master Sgt. Lori Stone.
• YOUNGSTOWN — The Tri-State Marine Corps League, Detachment No. 494 will conduct the annual program at 11 a.m. in the Courthouse Rotunda.

¯ CHAMPION — Champion High School will host a Salute to Veterans at 10 a.m. Friday in the high school auditorium to honor veterans and active military personnel.
¯ GIRARD — Assembly at 8:45 a.m. in the high school gymnasium to honor local veterans.
¯ WARREN — 11 a.m. service at First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave., presented by the Trumbull County Veterans Service Commission and the Trumbull County Historical Society. A parade, sponsored by the Tribune Chronicle, will follow the service, weather permitting, starting at Perkins Park between the Women’s Park and Trumbull County Tourism Bureau.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1090 in Warren will celebrate its 100th anniversary and host a public open house after the parade at 611 High St., and will have historical photos and other memorabilia on display at the church service.
¯ LAKE MILTON — The Lake Milton American Legion is hosting a veterans memorial pinning ceremony for Vietnam-era veterans, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Post 737, 16465 Milton St. A dinner will follow at 5 p.m. Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), will be doing the pinning and more than 200 people will be in attendance.

The parade will travel south on Mahoning Avenue, past a review stand set up near the Trumbull County Veterans Memorial and then east on Market Street through the downtown area, ending at Vine and High streets.
