Students set out to share love rocks

POLAND — Students at Poland Middle School are spreading the love.

Sixth-grade students had a Zoom meeting recently with Susan Dieter-Robinson, a former Canfield resident who now lives on the West Coast.

She spoke with the students, recounting how her two young daughters were killed in an accident.

Following their deaths, Dieter-Robinson began making “love rocks,” small rocks with a fabric heart, and leaving them for others to find.

The middle school students made their own rocks with the intent of placing them around the community.
