YOUNGSTOWN — Bishop David Bonnar of the Diocese of Youngstown has named Cindee Case social media minister for the Diocese.

As the social media minister, Case will develop content and suggest creative ways to encourage the faith community to live out their baptismal call of service by using various tools of social communication.

Since February 2002, Case has served the Youngstown Diocese

as the director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry.

A graduate of Loyola University, New Orleans, with a master’s degree in pastoral study with a focus on Youth Ministry/Parish Administra-tion, Case sees her new position “as a way to take advantage of every media source at our disposal and use social media for the good of the church.”

In his pastoral letter, “Testify to the Light,” Bonnar states, “We cannot stop inserting our voice into the world. As a Diocese and in our parishes and schools, we need to communicate clearly and boldly.”
