Farm fresh food giveaway

FARMERS TO FAMILIES DISTRIBUTION: God’s Warehouse, located at New Life Church, 2250 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will have a Farmers to Families food distribution, along with its regular food giveaway, 7 a.m. to noon Saturday. There will be nonperishables, fruit, vegetables, meat and bread products. It will be a drive-thru event, with residents asked to have trunks empty.

GATE CHANGES: Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley is collaborating with the Canfield Fair Board, the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio National Guard to host Traveling Food Pantry food distribution at the fairgrounds 1 p.m. today. Recipients will enter the fairgrounds through Gate 8 and exit through Gate 5. In order to partake in this zero-contact distribution, recipients’ trunks must be open and clear of all other belongings and their windows must be rolled up. Recipients are not to exit their vehicle for any reason.

SCAVENGER HUNT: Junior Achievement of the Mahoning Valley will hold a tri-county scavenger hunt from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 1 which will be fall-themed, family-friendly, app-based and socially-distant scavenger hunt around Trumbull, Columbiana and Mahoning counties. Cost is $25 per team (up to 5 players). Wear a costume for extra bonus points. There will be prizes and treat bags for all participants. Mission sponsorships are available with a virtual finish line zoom party to announce the winners. Participants will complete missions and answer trivia questions, while competing against rival teams for fun prizes. All proceeds to benefit Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley.
