Car wash helping Second Harvest

The seeing eye

WASH AWAY HUNGER: Salem Car Wash, 1041 E. State St., is helping to Wash Away Hunger this month. Anyone who donates a nonperishable food item through Oct. 31 will receive $1 off a car wash, and the Salem Car Wash will donate $2 from each purchase to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.

Every dollar given provides six meals to hungry families in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties, according to the food bank. For more information on the Food Bank, visit www.mahon ingvalleysecondharvest.org or call 330-792-5522.

OAK HILL TOUR: The Mahoning Valley Historical Society had scheduled a virtual Oak Hill Cemetery Tour at noon Oct. 22 on YouTube. What would have been the annual walking tour will now be part of the MVHS October Bits and Bites of History program due to the coronavirus restrictions at the cemetery. The walk will be available to view in a virtual way at www.youtube.com/channel/UCSHqcfsLJNsV5sbnah mTNA/videos.
