POP UP DISTRIBUTION: Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley is collaborating with the Canfield Fair Board, Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio National Guard to hold the fourth Traveling Food Pantry food distribution 1 p.m. Friday at the fairgrounds. Recipients will enter the fairgrounds through Gate 9 and exit through Gate 5. In order to partake in this zero-contact distribution, recipients’ trunks must be open and clear of all other belongings and the windows must be rolled up. Recipients are not to leave their vehicle for any reason. The traveling food pantry is designed to address the surge in need for food assistance from struggling families due to the COVID-19 pandemic. FOOD GIVEAWAY: A drive-thru food giveaway will be held 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 2944 Wardle Ave., Youngstown. Those needing items are asked to bring ID.

LIBRARY DISPLAY: Girard Free Library on Prospect Street has an art display of Jack Carlton to be shown through October. Carlton who died in 2018, was a professor of art at Youngstown State University and resident of Girard. He painted many murals in downtown Girard.
