Resident shows police shootout video
YOUNGSTOWN — A resident of the first block of East Evergreen Avenue reported they have surveillance video of a shootout that took place in the street among people in two vehicles.
When police arrived about 1:14 p.m. Tuesday, there were no suspects there, but a witness said people in two cars could be heard arguing in the street. Then gunfire was heard and the two vehicles left the area.
Someone from a home in the area showed police surveillance video showing a gold or silver Honda Element with black fenders stopped in the street and a maroon Chevrolet Malibu a short distance behind.
A woman appeared to be driving the Honda and a second person was outside of the vehicle, police said. “You could hear arguing in Spanish and then a lot of gunfire,” a police report states.
Several people in multiple cars were firing guns, police said.
