Junior Achievement hosts scavenger hunt

CASH PRIZES: The Junior Achievement Tri-County Scavenger Hunt will be 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 16. The family-friendly app-based and social-distanced scavenger hunt takes place around Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties. Participants complete missions, answer trivia questions about hometowns and take selfies while competing against rival teams for prizes. Proceeds from the event will help fund financial literacy, enterpreneurship and work-readiness programming for area students. Cost is $25 per team of up to five players. Cash prizes for the top three point earners with first place $300, second place $150 and third place $75. For additional information and online registration visit mahoningvalley.ja.org

FREE CONCERT: Austintown Township Park will host a free concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday featuring the Jim Frank Combo. The band plays a wide variety of music. Guests can bring their own lawn chair and are asked to follow social distancing guidelines.

SACRED HEART 1959: Sacred Heart School Class of 1959 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Thanos Family Restaurant, 6620 Tippecanoe Road, Canfield. For directions, call the restaurant at 330-702-0300. Guests and others who attended Sacred Heart School are welcome to attend.

PARKING LOT BINGO: The Girard FIRST Robotics will hold its second parking lot bingo at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the parking lot at Bruster’s Ice Cream, North State Street, Girard. Tickets are $20 per person and includes card, dauber and flag for signaling when have “bingo.” Tickets may be purchased at Girard City Schools Robotics website. Bruster’s Ice Cream will be open during the event. People can stay inside their vehicles or sit in a chair by their car. There will also be a 50-50 raffle.
