VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMPS: Mahoning County students are taking part this week and next in two virtual summer manufacturing camps.

The young women learn about science, tech, engineering, arts and math (STEAM). The camps are helping students around Ohio learn about manufacturing jobs in Ohio and the opportunities the manufacturing sector has created.

Community partners include Chemical Bank, YWCA of the Mahoning Valley, OH WOW! Childrens Museum, INVENTORcloud, Kiwanis Club of Warren, Neckerman Foundation, PHRMA, The William J. Bruder Trust, The Walter E. and Caroline H. Watson Foundation and United Way of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley.

GRAND RAFFLE: Hubbard St. Patrick Church festival has been canceled but the grand raffle will be held. The winner will receive a choice of a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox or $20,000. The winning ticket will be drawn following the 11 a.m. Mass Aug. 9. The church is offering a last minute special of 20 raffle tickets for $20.
