WHAT: City council meeting Monday

PRESENT: Reynold Paolone, John Moliterno, Jeffrey Kay, Lily Martuccio, Keith Schubert, Mark Standohar, Tom Grumley and Sam Zirafi

Council:

l Discussed asking Hubbard city to contribute funds to the operation of the Girard Municipal Court because cases from Hubbard are handled there. Paolone said officials feel that every entity that uses the court should contribute to financing the court and Hubbard does not. He said townships such as Liberty, Hubbard and Vienna are not required by Ohio Revised Code to fund the courts. A future meeting with Girard Municipal Court Judge Jefffey Adler will be held to address this;

l Approved advertising for bids for the construction of a new salt shed building for the street department;

l Approved establishing the position of full-time office manager for the Girard legal department.
