Mahoning County Commissioner Anthony Traficanti will serve as keynote speaker. Bob Wilkeson will serve as grand marshal and the Rev. Martin Celuch of Christ Our Savior Parish in Struthers will serve as Chaplain of the Day.

If flags to decorate graves become available in time, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the community will be notified.
In case of inclement weather, memorial ceremonies will be held in the War Memorial Post 15 Home, 35 Cortland St., Poland, with a limited number of guests. For information, call the home at 330-757-8610.
POST 4192 CANCELS CEREMONY: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4192 is canceling its Memorial Day ceremony at Kerr Cemetery this year due to the COVID-19 virus.
PEACEFUL PROTEST: The Free Ohio Now movement is holding rallies Saturday protesting the cancellation of public Memorial Day events across the state because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a news release, “Free Ohio Now strongly believes honoring the memory of those Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our Constitutional rights, individual freedoms and way of life is too important to pass without tribute.”
Peaceful rallies are set at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lisbon Town Square on Market Street; 1 p.m. in front of the old Cortland Roller Rink, 290 S. High St., Cortland, and 3 p.m. in front of the McKinley Memorial, 40 N. Main St., Niles.
