Seeing Eye: Decoration day for kids in Austintown

CRAFT PARTY: A Christmas craft party will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at the Austintown Library, 600 S. Raccoon Road. Children will make a decoration to keep or give away. Materials will be provided.

The session is for children of all ages. Children younger than 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

HOLIDAY DINNER: Youngstown Councilwoman Anita Davis, D-Ward 6, will host her fourth annual holiday luncheon noon Saturday at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, 2821 Hillman St. The event is free.

BREAST CANCER SUPPORT: FOCUS Breast Cancer Support Group will meet noon Wednesday at the Phoenix Fire Grill & Bar, 5231 S. Canfield Niles Road, Canfield. Attendees should bring a “white elephant” gift.

SANTA AND MRS. CLAUS: Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Youngstown Parks and Recreation Department, 26 S. Phelps St., Youngstown. Santa and Mrs. Claus will share stories of the North Pole and listen to wish lists.

Children attending must be 10 or older and be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are free, but seating is limited.

DRIVE-IN MOVIE: A “drive-in” movie matinee will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Newport Library, 3730 Market St., Youngstown. Each child attending will decorate a cardboard box car to sit in during the movie.

Tables and chairs will be available for grownups. Light refreshments will be provided. The matinees is for all ages.

CARDBOARD HOUSES: The Lepper Library, 303 E Lincoln Way, Lisbon, will hold a Cardboard Gingerbread House for your pet 6 p.m. Monday.

Other upcoming events include 1-on-1 Computer and Smart Device Help, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; a ukulele workshop, 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 21; and an afternoon movie from 1966 starring Lana Turner at 2 p.m. Dec. 30.
