Seeing Eye: Hubbard auction set Thursday

GOOD BUYS AHEAD: The Hubbard Rotary will hold the 64th annual auction Thursday at Hubbard Community Gymnasium, 110 Orchard Ave. Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner available. The auction begins at 6 p.m.

There will also be a bake sale, 50-50 drawing, and new and used merchandise.

SOCIETY EVENT: Salem Historical Society will hold a Veterans Appreciation 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Freedom Hall. The event will recognize the dedication of many military service people with discounts throughout the historic downtown.

The gift shop and Freedom Hall will be featured with its military emphasis from the Civil War to the present.

The event is a cooperative effort of Downtown Salem Partnership and Salem Area Chamber of Commerce.

EASTER SEALS FUNDRAISER: The Angels of Easter Seals will hold the third annual “Wine & Spirits: A Fall Celebration” 6:30 p.m. Friday at The Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road, Poland. The event will include a silent auction, 50-50 raffle and entertainment.

Raffle tickets are available for six tickets for $5. Tickets to attend are $75 per person. Call the Easterseals Center at 330-599-5514 for tickets.

All proceeds benefit Easterseals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. Upcoming events are Angels Holiday and Sweet Shoppe on Dec. 4 and 43rd annual Spring Fashion Show on May 7.
