Get rid of unused shoes

SHOE DRIVE: The Business Club at Campbell Memorial High School is partnering with Funds2OrgsGroup for a shoe drive to be held through Dec. 6 and are asking the community to participate and by donating gently worn used shoes.

All donated shoes of any size or type will be going to help people in need as well as those in third world countries. The Business Club has a goal of sending 100 bags of shoes.

All donated shoes must be free of water damage and holes, with the soles intact. The shoes can be either used or brand new.

Shoe drop-off will be at the high school through Dec. 6, or arrange for a pick-up by calling 330-799-1515, Ext. 53090, or atjmccray@campbell. k12.oh.us. The scheduled pick-up days this month are today, and Nov. 15 and 20.

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE: The Shop in the Gardens at Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave., will host its annual holiday open house 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The Shop in the Gardens is operated by Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens, a nonprofit organization independent from Mill Creek MetroParks that exists to support Fellows Riverside Gardens. All proceeds from the Shop benefit Fellows Riverside Gardens and their related programs.

Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens members can attend a preview party and sale from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today and receive a 20 percent discount on everything in the Shop. Memberships may be purchased at the door.

AUXILIARY TO MEET: The Auxiliary of St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital / St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital will meet at noon on Monday in the private dining room of St. Elizabeth on Belmont Avenue. Guest speaker will be Gerald Nunziato, retired officer of the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Agency.
