Seeing Eye: Drop off unused meds Saturday

TAKE BACK MEDICATION: National Prescription “Take Back Day” will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at various locations in Mahoning County.

People will be able to drop off unused, unwanted and expired prescription pills and patches for proper disposal. No sharp objects or needles, liquids, creams, inhalers or medical waste will be accepted.

The service is free and anonymous.

Drug Take Back Boxes are available at Akron Children’s Hospital Beeghly Campus, Building A lobby, 6505 Market St., Boardman; Austintown Police Department, 92 Ohltown Road; Beaver Police Department, 601 W. South Range Road, North Lima; Boardman Police Department, 8299 Market St.; CVS Pharmacies in Youngstown and Canfield; Canfield Police Department, 104 Lisbon St.; Giant Eagle Pharmacy, 525 E. Main St., Canfield; Goshen Police District, 14003 South Range Road, Salem; Lowellville City Hall, 140 E. WALK AT YSU: A Walk to End Alzheimer’s sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association will take place 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Youngstown State University. Check-in at 8:30 a.m.
