Mercy Health, Humana secure new contract

Staff report Mercy Health and health insurer Humana reached an agreement earlier this week affecting more than 10,000 Valley patients who use the health system as an in-network provider. The agreement takes effect Dec. 1 and covers Humana contracts for Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid health plans. WARREN — Although the company has not completed construction of its first building, Kimberly-Clark Corp. representatives are laying the groundwork needed for a new enterprise zone agreement to place a warehouse on its property. “They are looking to receive a 60% tax abatement for 10 years,” Trumbull County Planning Assistant Director Nicholas Coggins told commissioners during Tuesday’s workshop meeting.
