Treatment center to present ribbon-cutting event Friday
ReNew U Therapy & Wellness, an outpatient mental health and substance-use treatment center, invites the community to celebrate the ribbon cutting of its 2125 Glenwood Ave. location in Youngstown at 11 a.m. Friday.
The ceremony marks a milestone for an organization built on the belief that people seeking help deserve high quality, individualized and accessible treatment.
The ribbon cutting is an opportunity for community members, local leaders, referral partners and neighbors to tour the Glenwood Avenue facility, meet members of the ReNew U team, and learn more about how the organization is reshaping what behavioral health care can look like in the Mahoning Valley.
FirstLight Home Care of the Valley relocates
FirstLight Home Care of the Valley, a provider of nonmedical home care services, has announced the relocation of its corporate offices.
After 11 years in Austintown, the agency is moving into the Expand Health Medical Office Complex in Liberty. Owners Mike and Michael Senchak recently finalized the sale of their building at 4390 Mahoning Ave.
The move marks a milestone for the business, which has been a staple in the Valley for 13 years, providing care and support to seniors and individuals in need of assistance.
Operations will continue without interruption during the transition.

Ashley Furniture will open new Niles store
Ashley Furniture will be celebrating at 9:30 a.m. Saturday the grand opening of its second Mahoning Valley showroom at 970 Great East Plaza, Niles.
The new store showcases Ashley’s all new 7.0 store concept, featuring a bright and open floor plan designed to create inspiration for your home. Customers can explore lifestyle vignettes complete with lighting, rugs and wall art. Product offerings include a large selection of bedrooms, dining rooms, upholstery and leather seating, occasional tables, home office, youth bedrooms, recliners, mattresses and accessories.
“The response leading up to this event has been tremendous,” co-CEO Matt Schultz said. “We’re thrilled to open our second furniture store in the Youngstown market and look forward to playing a larger part in the surrounding community.”
As part of a larger community outreach initiative during the grand opening, the store will present a $2,000 donation to the Animal Welfare League.

Shark Tank launch party set Thursday
The annual YBI Shark Tank Launch Party will take place 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Penguin City Brewing in downtown Youngstown. This year’s launch party theme is Shark-A-Mania.
The event kicks off YBI’s Shark Tank pitch competition. Two announcements will be made. The celebrity sharks will be revealed, and pitch applications will open to entrepreneurs in the Mahoning Valley.
Warren bookstore to have grand opening
The Book Nook, 222 E Market St., Warren, will mark its grand opening Saturday.
The business began as an online, indie‑author‑only bookstore. To continue supporting authors and serving readers, a physical storefront was opened in downtown Warren.
