Defense tech expert to speak at Eastwood Event Centre

AMUX: The Advanced Manufacturing User Expo will take place 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 20 at the Eastwood Event Centre, Niles.
Panel discussions and interactive demonstrations will be featured.
Topics will cover advanced manufacturing; emerging technologies; digital transformation; workforce and talent; defense and aerospace hub; and startups and entrepreneurship.
Jaret C. Riddick, Ph.D., is the scheduled keynote speaker.
Riddick is a leading authority on autonomous systems and artificial intelligence with nearly two decades of experience shaping defense technology strategy at the highest levels of the U.S. government. He formerly served as the principal director for autonomy in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, where he was the Pentagon’s senior official responsible for unifying autonomy research and development across air, land, sea and space domains.
He will speak from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Panel discussions start at 9 a.m.
