Open house set Saturday for indoor pickleball facility in Niles
Staff report
The Dink Yard, a new indoor pickleball club, will present its grand opening from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at its club’s facility, located at the former Joann Fabrics in the Eastwood Mall complex.
Lifelong Valley residents Skylar and Lindsay Coulter said they are bringing their vision to life by creating a space for competition and community.
“Our mission is simple: Bring year-round pickleball to the Valley in a space that’s just as much about connection as it is competition,” the pair said in a news release. “Whether you’ve been playing for years or you’ve never held a paddle, this is your home court.”
The facility features six indoor courts, flexible open play opportunities and an atmosphere designed for beginners and seasoned players. The club will offer open play sessions, events, clinics and leagues.
To mark the occasion, the Dink Yard will offer $5 open play sessions throughout the day, plus special activities, prizes and treats.
Complimentary doughnuts and coffee will be offered starting at 9 a.m. until supplies last.
