2 companies pursue $1M from Insight

Staff report

Seeking approximately $1 million in back payments, two businesses filed civil lawsuits against Insight Health System this month in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Limbach Co. LLC, an HVAC contractor from Warrendale, Pa., claims it is owed almost $715,000 for work performed at Insight Trumbull, Insight Hillside and Insight Health Center Austintown.

Filing its complaint Aug. 1, Limbach Co. also is seeking interest and enforcement of its mechanic liens. The company alleges Insight committed a breach of contract in its failure to pay the balances of 24 projects dating to 2024.

Dayton-based Advanced Staffing Services LLC is pursuing a breach of contract claim in its suit filed Thursday. It said it is owed almost $305,000 and requested approximately $26,000 in interest.

An Insight spokesman said Monday the hospital system did not have a comment on the cases.

Limbach Co. completed several high dollar projects at Insight’s Trumbull County properties. According to court documents, work at Insight Trumbull included $334,819.24 for boiler repair; $51,000 for valve work; and $49,800 related to fan motors.

The company said that from Oct. 26, 2024, through Feb. 6, Insight has not paid for the services owed.
