Nonprofits picked for WRTA program
YOUNGSTOWN — The Western Reserve Transit Authority has selected 12 nonprofit organizations as honorees of its 2024 Holiday Lights program.
The groups will be celebrated Nov. 21 at an event at DeYor Performing Arts Center.
The nonprofits, selected from nearly 100 nominations, are Clover Recycling, Diva Donations, Dylan’s House, Friends of Fido, Limitless Dance Company, Mahoning County Public Special Olympics, Olivia’s Grace, Sight for All United, United Returning Citizens, Veterans Haven, Yellow Brick Place and Youngstown Lions Club.
WRTA and other sponsors will give additional recognition and exposure in the media and on bus signs to the groups.
One organization will be selected as Nonprofit of the Year. Voting will last through 5 p.m. Friday at wrtaonline.com under the News tab.
