Trumbull commissioners approve contract with Lake to River
WARREN — The Trumbull County Commissioners have approved a 12-month contract with Lake to River Economic Development to continue economic development efforts in the county.
Lake to River is the new regional network partner of JobsOhio — the state’s private economic development corporation — that serves Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana and Ashtabula counties.
In Trumbull County, Lake to River leads the countywide business, retention and expansion efforts as well as the attraction of new investment by providing a broad range of economic development services, including assisting companies in identifying suitable properties, coordinating project incentives and providing strategic information for company decision-makers.
The contract is for $45,000.
Lake to River is experiencing an unprecedented number of inquiries related to local expansions and the attraction of new companies that are considering a future investment in the region, according to a news release.
Relative to Trumbull County, the organization is managing several pending projects totaling more than $70 million of investment that are expected to be announced within the next 12 to 24 months, the release states.
