HOWLAND — Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel has been sold but will remain family-run.

The well-known funeral home, 1884 North Road, was acquired by CS Realty LLC, which is run by Peter Rossi Jr.’s great-nephew, Chelsey Santucci, a funeral director there who also owns and operates Rossi Santucci Funeral Home on Market Street in Boardman.

Rossi said Monday the transaction finalized in January. The sale of the building and about 2.5 acres was for $700,000, according to a property transfer in April with the Trumbull County Auditor’s Office.

Rossi, 82, said he still plans to work, but “I’m going to slow down a little.”

The funeral home was built in 1963, according to the auditor’s office.
