YBI program graduates four

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Business Incubator’s Women in Entrepreneurship Program has completed phase two of the WE Launch business accelerator program with one participant winning a $5,000 grant to launch her business.

Jazz’mine Harsch, of Jazz’mine Harsch Photography, plans to use the money to expand the company through marketing and her clothing closet she offers to her clients, according to YBI.

Other women in the cohort who pitched their business for a chance at the grant were Kimberly Omoregie, Indaba Bed and Breakfast; Paige Hall, Top Tier Rentals; and Alisha Alls, Alisha Lynn.

“WE Launch is a 10-week program which aims to teach women the fundamentals of launching their products and services into the marketplace,” Tanisha Wheeler, YBI director of women and youth in entrepreneurship, said. “Participants attend lectures and complete coursework pertaining to the fundamentals of owning and operating a business.”

At the end, participants are ready to launch their products or services into the marketplace.

Applications for phase three of the program, WE Grow, will open in September. It includes 10 weeks of classes that teach the fundamentals of owning and operating a business.
