Avalon Holdings reports 1Q financial results
HOWLAND — Avalon Holdings Corp. reported a net operating revenue in the first quarter of 2022 of $14.3 million compared with $15.1 million in the first quarter of 2021.
The company recorded a net loss attributable to common shareholders of $1.3 million in the first quarter of 2022 compared with $700,000 for the same period last year. The basic net loss per share to common shareholders was 32 cents in the quarter. It was 18 cents in the first quarter of 2021.
Avalon Holdings Corp. provides waste management services to industrial, commercial, municipal and governmental customers in the Northeast and Midwest U.S. markets, captive landfill management services and salt water injection well operations.
The company also owns Avalon Resorts and Clubs Inc., which includes a hotel and its associated resort amenities, four golf courses and related country clubs and a multipurpose recreation center.
