Mercy Health acquires two buildings for $1.2M

Structures located near hospital in Boardman

BOARDMAN — Mercy Health-Youngstown has spent close to $1.2 million to acquire two office buildings due south of the health care provider’s St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital on Market Street, but their future use is yet to be determined.

The system purchased a 6,000-square-foot office on 0.8 of 1 acre at 120 Marwood Circle for $795,000 from Jack R. Vaughn and Carole M. Ausnehmer, according to a transfer with the Mahoning County Auditor’s Office that finalized Wednesday.

The one-story building was built in 1999. Vaughn and Ausnehmer acquired the property in 1997 for $62,500, according to the auditor’s office.

On March 4, according to the auditor’s office, a transaction for 100 Marwood Circle, a 2,560-square-foot single-story office building on a 0.4-acre parcel finalized for $399,000 with Ploutus LLC.

Ploutus LLC acquired the property from Vaughn and Ausnehmer for $380,000 in September 2016, according to the auditor’s office. That building was built in 1997.

Mercy Health-Youngstown spokeswoman Kara Carter said the system “is still determining what services will be offered at the sites.”

“We also own 80 Marwood Circle, which houses Mercy Health-Boardman Pain Medicine,” she said.

Mercy Health-Youngstown acquired that building in May 2016 for $249,000 from 80 Marwood Circle LTD, according to the auditor’s office.
