717 Credit Union to open new branch in downtown Warren

WARREN — 717 Credit Union’s new downtown Warren Courthouse Square branch will open to the public 9 a.m. Monday.

At 157 W. Market St., the office is smaller than the credit union’s traditional branches but offers account and loan openings, a traditional teller line, consultative services and a PTM

(personal teller machine) for routine transactions.

PTMs, which are similar in appearance to an ATM, allow members to talk directly with a credit union teller by video. After-hours, the machine can be used as an ATM.

A ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The Warren-based credit union was established in 1957. It has grown to include nearly 100,000 members and 13 offices, including those throughout the Mahoning Valley, making it the largest credit union in northeast Ohio.
