Rep. Ryan pushes tax-credit extension
WARREN — U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan is
among a bipartisan group of lawmakers
urging a five-year extension of the
Health Coverage Tax Credit, which helps
retirees access affordable health care.
Ryan, D-Howland, joined the group
Monday in calling on the chairman
and ranking member of the
House Ways and Means
Committee to move on the
extension, something Ryan
has been urging for years,
according to his office.
The credit, which can
cover up to 72.5 percent of
premiums in some cases, is
set to expire Dec. 31.
