Howmet board OKs dividend
WEATHERSFIELD — Howmet Aerospace, which has a plant in Weathersfield, declared a dividend of 93.75 cents per share on the company’s outstanding $3.75 preferred, or Class A, stock.
The dividend will be paid Jan. 1 to the holders of record at the close of business Dec. 11.
The Pittsburgh-based company reported recently that third-quarter revenue fell 37 percent to $1.1 billion compared to the third quarter of 2019. The decrease, according to the company, was driven by disruptions in the commercial aerospace and commercial transportation markets largely due to the viral outbreak and production declines of Boeing’s 737 Max airplane.
