Gas prices remain stable in region
WARREN — The average price for
gasoline across northeast Ohio is the
same this week at $1.96 per gallon, according
to AAA East Central’s Gas Price
Report.
In the Warren-Youngstown area, the
average price is $1.93 and in Niles, $1.95,
per gallon.
The average price for the region this
week last year was $2.47 per gallon.
Across the U.S., the national average
of $2.10 is shaping up to be the lowest
since 2015, when the average was $2.05
per gallon. In any other year, the low
price would entice people to travel for
the Thanksgiving holiday, but AAA forecasts
a travel decrease this year due to
the viral outbreak.
