Energy secretary coming to Valley
YOUNGSTOWN — U.S. Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette is scheduled to participate Friday in a roundtable at Youngstown State University on the future of energy jobs in the region.
It will be Brouillette’s second visit to the Mahoning Valley in the recent months. In June, he attended and spoke at the public debut of Lordstown Motors Corp.’s all-battery powered truck, the Endurance, in Lordstown.
Also Friday, Brouillette is expected to be in Belmont County to meet with local officials and stakeholders regarding PTT Global Chemicals America’s proposed Ohio Petrochemical Complex Project that, if completed, would be one of the largest economic development projects in the region’s history.
