YOUNGSTOWN — Eastern Gateway Community College was given 3,000 free KN95 masks from the American Dental Education Association for students, faculty and area dentists who volunteer in the college’s onsite dental clinic.

The personal protective equipment is worth about $30,000.

The dental assisting program is designed to provide the student with three dental career options leading to or enhancing employment in a dental office or dental clinic. EGCC offers an associate degree in dental assisting and a one-year certificate program that enables students to sit for the National Certification Examination or the Ohio Dental Assistants Examination to become a certified dental assistant.

The college has campuses in Steubenville and Youngstown.
