Endurance heads to state capitol

WARREN — Lordstown Motors Corp. will display its all-electric pickup truck, the Endurance, today at the Statehouse in Columbus and discuss the importance of electric vehicle manufacturing with Ohio lawmakers.

Joining Lordstown Motors CEO Steve Burns will be state Sens. Sean J. O’Brien, D-Bazetta, and Michael Rulli, R-Salem; Senate President Larry Obhof, R-Medina; and state Rep. Gil Blair, D-Weathersfield.

The company, which will manufacture the truck at the former General Motors plant in Lordstown starting early next year, announced in August a merger with DiamondPeak Holdings Corp., a special purpose acquisition company. It’s a move that infuses $675 million into the company that will become public later this year.
