St. Elizabeth hospitals rank high on US News list
YOUNGSTOWN — Mercy Health’s St. Elizabeth Youngstown and St. Elizabeth Boardman have been recognized as high-performing hospitals for 2020-21 by U.S. News & World Report.
Both health-care centers received the ratings, the highest possible from the magazine, for their chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and heart failure programs. The ratings recognize care that was significantly better than the national average.
U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 10 procedures and conditions. Fewer than a third of all hospitals received any high-performing rating, and 37 earned this rating in all 10 procedures and conditions.
