Northeast Ohio gas prices increase 4 cents over week

WARREN — The average price for gasoline across northeast Ohio is 4 cents more expensive this week at $2.08 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.

In the Warren-Youngstown area, the average per gallon price is $2.06 and in Niles, $2.07.

For the region this week last year, the average price was $2.58 per gallon.

On the week, the national average is down one penny from last Monday to $2.17. Monday’s average is 2 cents less than last month and 49 cents cheaper than a year ago, with August pricing out to be the second-cheapest start to the month in more than a decade.
