Howmet revenue declines in second quarter
WEATHERSFIELD — Howmet Aerospace, formerly Arconic Inc., in Weathersfield reported revenue of $1.25 billion for the second quarter, down 31 percent from the same quarter in 2019.
The decrease, according to the company, was primarily driven by disruptions in the commercial aerospace and transportation markets driven by the viral outbreak and production declines of Boeing’s 737 Max airplane.
The company reported a loss from continuing operations of $84 million compared to $136 million for the second quarter of 2019. Income from continuing operations was $55 million compared to $147 million for the same period last year.
Howmet officially spun off from Arconic Inc. in early April and is the engineered products and forgings side of the former company.
