Eastern Gateway, KSU get federal education grants

YOUNGSTOWN — Eastern Gateway Community College and Kent State University have received U.S. Department of Education grants for $274,586 and $527,601 to support low-income individuals, first-generation college students and to help individuals with disabilities move from middle school through college graduation.

The awards are part of more than $313 million for student support services across the U.S.
