Avalon Holdings loses $400,000 in second quarter
WARREN — Avalon Holdings Corporation recorded a net loss attributable to common shareholders of $400,000 for the second quarter of 2020 with net income of $500,000 for the same period, the company reported.
Net operating revenue for the quarter was $13.1 million compared to $18.4 million for the second quarter of 2019.
For the second quarter of 2020, basic net loss per share attributable to common shareholders was 11 cents compared to 12 cents in the second quarter of 2019.
Avalon Holdings provides waste management services to industrial, commercial, municipal and governmental customers in the northeastern and midwestern U.S., captive landfill management services and salt water injection well operations.
The company also owns Avalon Resorts and Clubs Inc., which includes a hotel and its associated resort amenities, four golf courses and related country clubs and a multipurpose recreation center.
