Akron Children’s to reopen quick care services Tuesday

BOARDMAN — Akron Children’s Hospital’s Quick Care will reopen Tuesday at the hospital’s Beeghly campus, 6505 Market St., Building A.

The service, temporarily closed due to the viral outbreak, is a option for non-urgent medical care, including allergies, colds, minor cuts, ear infections and earaches, fever, flu, sore throat, rashes and skin infection and insect bites.

Quick Care will offer testing for patients who have symptoms of COVID-19. Testing is not available for people without symptoms who need clearance for sports, school, work or day care.

It is open noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday from noon to 8 p.m. with the last appointment at 7:40 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays with the last appointment at 5:40 p.m.

Parents can schedule appointments online at akronchildrens.org/quickcare. Walk-ins are also accepted.
