Chamber offers health care plan to sole proprietors

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber has partnered with the Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance to offer sole proprietors health care coverage in the SOCA benefit plan.

To be eligible, sole proprietors must meet certain underwriting requirements, including the ability to show they work more than 30 hours per week and provide proof of sole proprietorship status. In addition, they must be headquartered and do business in Ohio, and be in good standing with an eligible chamber of commerce.

“Our health care program has been one of the strongest in our portfolio for many years, but we had always kept our eye out for a product for one,” Kim Calvert, chamber vice president of marketing and member services, said. “This new offering for sole proprietors is one more way we can assist our business community, especially during these challenging times.”

Contact the chamber at 330-744-2131, Ext. 1219, or email becky@regional chamber.com for more information.
